Travis Prinzi returns to the Park with a Bob Dylan Extravaganza to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Blood On The Tracks. The album is considered one the top 100 albums ever recorded. Travis will be bringing along a very talented lineup of friends including Lauren Faggiano, Abby Gebel, Justin Williams, Rick Constantino, and Brad Prinzi.
Blood on the Tracks was recorded and released in 1975 and is considered a classic “breakup album.” The album is full of songs about love lost and the struggle to let go, with lyrics that create vivid characters. Dylan recorded the album in New York City and Minneapolis in 1974. The album features five tracks from each location.
The album has been praised as one of the greatest breakup albums in popular music history. Dylan himself professed confusion about the album’s popularity. “It’s hard for me to relate to that,” he said the year Blood on the Tracks was released. “I mean, people enjoying that kind of pain.”Untainted by the politics and cool of the ’60s or the gated drums and overdubbed productions of the ’80s, Blood on the Tracks hits with the same immediacy in the 21st century as it did in 1975.
